Media Advisory - Existing and Future Military Vehicles on Display at AUSA
Navistar Defense to Showcase Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) and MXT Vehicles during AUSA Winter Symposium and Exposition

What: Navistar Defense invites you to visit booth #829 at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Winter Symposium and Exposition to see and learn firsthand how these vehicles are designed for maximum protection to safeguard the men and women of our military:

• International® MaxxProTM Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle
• International® MXT™ with Raytheon SL-AMRAAM Missile Launcher

Company executives and technical experts will be available to describe Navistar Defense’s unique capacity for production and answer questions about the lifesaving features of these vehicles.

Additionally, Navistar Defense, together with BAE Systems, will unveil their team effort in response to the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27 in booth #2411. The JLTV program is a multi-service initiative for a family of future light tactical vehicles being developed as a joint system between the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps.

Why: The Association of the United States Army Winter Symposium and Exposition is the world’s largest landpower forum, and is also the leading defense-related exposition in the nation. This year’s show will feature Army modernization efforts and new technologies and vehicles that can aid in the training, equipping and protection of the 21st century soldier.

Navistar Defense—a wholly-owned affiliate of Navistar International Corporation—has been awarded more than $3 billion worth of contracts from the U.S. Marine Corps to build a range of current and future military vehicles. In December 2007, Navistar attained nearly 50 percent of the industry-wide MRAP vehicle orders announced by the military. The company’s MaxxPro MRAP vehicle and others that keep troops safe while in the field will be on display at this year’s AUSA Winter Symposium and Exposition.
